ASQ Student Chapter at University of Central Missouri
2nd Annual Quality Management Conference
September 14, 2010

Please Join Us!

The ASQ Student Chapter at University of Central Missouri will present the 2nd Annual Quality Management Conference on Tuesday, September 14th, 2010, 9:00am-3:30pm, at Union 236, Main Campus, Warrensburg, MO 64093.

This program is sponsored by the School of Technology, UCM, and ASQ Section 1301 Kansas City.  The conference theme is Challenges of Quality Implementation Using Green Practices and the activities will include an expert panel discussion, guest speakers, student presentations, and a brainstorming session.

Lunch and refreshments will be served (at no cost) for all guests and participants.  Reservations are requested by September 10, 2010.  Please email Sue Rodchua, ASQ Student Chapter Counselor, at rodchua@ucmo.edu with your reservation.

September Workshop

Utilizing DMADV to design & implement a new transaction-based Job Creation Tool called “InturnXchange” program.

Presentation:

 

The Process Architects team consulted the non-profit organization New Landings utilizing DMADV (Define, Measure, Analyze, Design, Verify) to design and implement a new transaction-based Job Creation Tool  called "InturnXchange" program. We will share our approach and the tools we used such as Task On Arrow process mapping, CTQ and FMEA. It is estimated that the InturnXchange program will serve over 1800 members and up to 50 businesses within the next 12 months.

About Your Presenters:

Cheryl Birdsong-Dyer , Founder, The Process Architects

Cheryl Birdsong-Dyer is a 20-year veteran in customer management and business process management. She has extensive industry experience within the operations, consumer services, financial services, retail and telecommunications sectors. Before founding The Process Architects, she led notable client-side customer management projects at Sprint Nextel.

During her career, Birdsong-Dyer has managed global workforces, with upwards of 40,000 agents at a time. She has led customer management operations in the U.S and has significant experience in emerging markets, such as India, the Philippines, and Mexico.

Birdsong-Dyer is a graduate of University of MissouriKansas City, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts, with a certificate in Information Technology. She received a Masters of Arts in Leadership & Management from Webster University; she holds a certificate in Lean Six Sigma through Villanova University, and a certificate in Six Sigma Contact Center Excellence through Customer Operations Performance Center (COPC).

Steve Modrcin

Steve Modrcin is a 22 year veteran with Industrial Engineering, Project Management, Leadership and Management experience at United Parcel Service.  He has a Bachelors degree in Accounting and a Graduate Degree in Organizational Management

Modrcin has enjoyed ten years of teaching undergraduate and graduate level studies at Webster University, Donnelly College, and The Command and General Staff College. Courses taught include: Leadership, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Economics, Finance and Management and Strategy for Business. He was instrumental in the design and implementation of Donnelly College’s Organizational Leadership degree program.
